Five classes starting Monday 18 Jan 2010 6-7pm
Cost: £21, concessions £14
Do-In (pronounced dough – in) is an ancient healing practice which includes a unique blend of meditation, breathing exercises, meridian stretches, self massage and acupressure techniques.
An ancient Japanese medical text claims that Do-in exercises are “effective in expelling various ill Ki (energy) and re-instating healthy Ki.”
In another Eastern classic Do-In is described as “a method practised by ascetics and Taoists of old that enables a person to stay young and strong, develop supernatural powers and attain eternal youth. By practising this every day without fail a person can live to be more than a thousand years old and exist side-by-side with wizards.”
I can’t promise eternal youth or co-existence with wizards but I can offer a weekly oasis where you can rejuvenate your energy and rekindle a feeling of well–being by following a regular practice of Do-In exercises.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a mat or blanket to work on.
Enrolment for the 'Introduction' and 'Do-In' courses is through Queens University Belfast
